Hey everybody,
Moc/Mocp is my very favorite CLI music player. Unfortunately it is not scrobbling my tracks to last.fm. I have tried damn near everything and I cannot get it to work.
Things I've tried:
installing lastfmsubmitd and appending this line to my ~/.moc/config file:
OnSongChange = "/usr/lib/lastfmsubmitd/lastfmsubmit --artist %a --title %t --length %d --album %b"
I've tried a couple different "OnSongChange" scripts ie:http://lukeplant.me.uk/blog.php?id=1107301687
Nothing seems to be working.
Help!

How would I make that work with MOC? It monitors MPD doesn't it?

Bah I figured it out
dir /var/spool/lastm must be read/write to non-root user.
Hope this helps someone

edit: delete this?
Two questions:
Does OnSongChange work? If you use
echo " new song " >> change_test.txt
do you get a text file full of events?
Is your lastfmsubmit working? What happens when you run it with test values plugged in?
