I don't think it would make any difference. The blue layer is really thick, taking into account that it's just a layer of paint. It actually looks a bit like a sticker stuck on the lap top. I uploaded another picture illustrating this:
On top of that, because I removed the stencil before the paint was hardened completely, the edges of the logo are bent out just a little, so that it actually has some sort of an emboss effect to it

hmm.. amazing how a layer of paint can be so thick.

Well I personally wouldn't use any primer in your case and not roughen up the surface. First, because it's a desktop case (if I got that right) so it's stationary and doesn't need to sustain any rough handling and second because you're only spraying a logo on it.
Oh. OK. I remember an episode about case-painting early on in Hak.5. I think I'll look that up for additional help.

Fantastic job, Shapeshifter. I especially like how you filled in the Dell logo. >:)
I have always wanted to do a custom paintjob for my laptop, but I don't possess the courage (or the skill) to actually go through with it.
The Arch logo is simply fantastic. Though the hard edges look really cool, I'm worried that they might start to chip.

That looks awesome. I painted an ATX case black to use for a media player in my living room. But I didn't think about putting the arch logo on it. Maybe I should redo the paintjob?
EDIT: spelling error fixed

Very Nice. Looks profesisonal. I'm quite impressed. Unfortunately, the backside of my gateway's screen is too thin to tolerate a lot of grinding; I doubt I could pull it off.
