Hello!
I installed Arch Linux i686 to my htpc, but resolution is wrong.
I have Nvidia Geforce 8600 GT graphics card and my 32" LG 32LB76 native resolution is 1360x768.
I have connected computer to TV with DVI to HDMI cable and it's working great in Windows XP. I'm using nvidia driver and I have selected 1360x768 from Nvidia X Server Settings. Xorg.conf looks fine to me, but it looks like picture is just scaled down from 1920x1080 to 1360x768. Picture is soft and fonts are fuzzy.
TV's own information menu says that resolution is still 1920x1080.
xrandr says:
Xlib: extension "Generic Event Extension" missing on display ":0.0".
Screen 0: minimum 320 x 240, current 1360 x 768, maximum 1920 x 1080
default connected 1360x768+0+0 0mm x 0mm
xorg.conf:
# nvidia-xconfig: X configuration file generated by nvidia-xconfig
# nvidia-xconfig: version 1.0 (buildmeister@builder63) Thu Feb 5 00:18:17 PST 2009
