Usb stick problem

Hello to everyone,

Ive just downloaded the most recent img and put it on my usb stick, it went well, i was able to boot from it and access arch setup, but when i went to choose an Installation Source I was not able to choose the usb stick to be my source, and was not able to configure my wired network because my dhcpdc is timing out for eth0.

any thoughts?

Ok ive just noticed that ive got the ftp installation for usb stick, but still does some one now why i am getting timed out on my dhcp for eth0?

here is what i am getting on lspci | grep net

00:19.0 Ethernet controller: Intel Corporation 82567LM Gibabit Network Connection (rev 03)

I have the same problem, damn!

The strange thing is that i use the same usb to install arch on the same computer for many times, but when I want to reinstall it again today, it stopped working?! So I boot the computer back into Arch, the internet there is working flawlessly!!?

I suspect that the driver for eth0 somehow is not working properly, how to fix it?

Come on, some one has any suggestion?

Update: I did dmesg after I failed in the arch-installation boot, and it shows:

eth0: no link during initialization.

What does this mean? and how is it related to waiting for carries time out?

update2: I try to use CD to install it, no luck, the same problem. Then what has changed with my computer since last time I installed it successfully?

I guess that you could switch to another vt and bring it up manually .... but still that is a problem that needs to be looked at.
