Recover file written

Hi.

The situation is :

I made a huge mistake overwriting rc.conf with other file. Is it possible to recover it? or the only way is to rewrite it?.

Thanks in advance and best regards.

Re: Recover file written

Hi again :

I think that I solved the situation as follows :

Go to : http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Rc.conf, there you are going to find a basic rc.conf

Copy it to your /etc/rc.conf

Do a : ls /etc/rc.d/  and just decide which one of those daemons you want to start at booting time

The last thing that you have to do is decide wheter of them are going to start in backgorund using @

and that is it.

I hope this help other people big_smile
