[SOLVED] QT fonts corrupted?

I'm having some problems with my fonts in QT, see screenshot for example.

Any idea as to what could be wrong, and how I would fix it?

Re: [SOLVED] QT fonts corrupted?

Your sub-pixel antialiasing is set on vertical RGB or GBR. Choose horizontal instead.

Re: [SOLVED] QT fonts corrupted?

@SamC If you have a LCD with vrgb than at the moment stepping back to qt 4.4.x would be the better solution. See here: http://bugs.archlinux.org/task/13977

If not, than playing with the "antialiasing" and "sub-pixel rendering" settings of fontconfig (/etc/fonts/conf.d or ~/.fonts.conf) could solve it. Good luck.

Re: [SOLVED] QT fonts corrupted?

Thanks, everyone. I've just gotten rid of the vertical antialiasing, and it works fine.
