VLC broken? [solved]

I updated VLC today to vlc-0.9.9a-1-x86_64, anyway it seams that hitting ctrl+l to bring up playlist, and then trying to search crashes vlc I ran it in xterm, which let me know I did some illegal operation, lol I didn't look into it all really, I just quickly downgraded to the previous version which worked, 0.9.9.4.

Just want to see if the package is broken for anyone else, or  whether I just got a bad copy (somehow)

Re: VLC broken? [solved]

No, I have a feeling there is something wrong with the package I downloaded... like corrupt data or something. I will have to clear it out of my pac cache. I know my keyboard is fine, like I said 9.9.4 works great. I just wanted to make sure it was the data not the build.
