Arch Install on an existing LVM luks Device

Hello Forum,

currently I'm running a rather old ubuntu installation on an encrypted LVM Luks Device which spans over the whole disk.

I cannot move the Files on the lvm-home volume, but the files on the lvm-root volume can be complete deleted. I would like to install archlinux on this one. So the question remains: How can I achieve this with the archlinux intsaller? Is it even possible to use existing luks encrypted LVM volumes?

Regards

Re: Arch Install on an existing LVM luks Device

sure, basically just luksOpen them and use them. there is a good and quite complete luks howto on the wiki.
