now if you dont have windows installed youll need to get some boot image to burn onto cd
using the same cd burn bios files for update when booted off cd using CLI
enter the command
should work for you
it did on my dell inspiron
if you have a fat partition you could store bios files to it.
it is actually better to have files on hard drive than on a floppy as floppy's fail often.

which is correct?
in download page
- If you need to update the BIOS as well as the Embedded Controller
Program, update BIOS first.
in thinkpad wiki
- The IBM documentation is sometimes unclear about the order in which these two firmwares should be updated. On most, but not all Thinkpads, the correct update order is Embedded Controller program first, and then the BIOS.

I would pobably go with what IBM says for this model (BIOS first) rather than what thinkwiki says is correct for most models.
