Upgrading pacman to latest version disables database synching [SOLVED]

When pacman was upgraded on my system, it suddenly said that it could not synchronise the databases because of an unknown error...and this was on a fresh install. Until I know how to get around that, I'm keeping PCLinuxOS on my box.

Re: Upgrading pacman to latest version disables database synching [SOLVED]

Check your /etc/pacman.d/mirrorlist file. The new one has everything commented out on it. If you had an existing mirrorlist file, the upgrade would have been saved as mirrorlist.pacman. Otherwise, you'll need to uncomment some mirrors.

Igh...I have to reinstall again just to check. (since I didn't know this before, I reinstalled PCLOS on top of it >_<...which just makes this all the more frustrating...and I almost cried when I didn't know that. I almost thought my favorite distro broke...)

Re: Upgrading pacman to latest version disables database synching [SOLVED]

Unknown Error, as the program stated. Now I don't have to worry since I've uncommented some mirrors in the file.
