eth1394 always starting up

How do I stop eth1394 from starting?
I need ieee1394, raw1394, ohci1394,  and video1394 for a digital camera to do image processing, but on boot up I always see messages about eth1394 starting up. It does not seem to affect performance, but I am trying to trim out anything that is not necessary.
I suppose it is being started by hotplug. Do I add it to /etc/hotplug/blacklist to avoid it being started up?

Thanks
Mark

Re: eth1394 always starting up

try to add the module you don't need in
hotplugs blacklist then this should be gone
eth1394 is the module i think
in case you use the hotplug daemon
