[GNOME] Problems w/ setting a background

Hey there.

After the last updates, I'm unable to set a background...

I'm from Portugal, and I think this is related to that bug of gconf, because I have to set my locale to C everytime I need to upgrade gnome stuff.

You didn't provide much information there, it's pretty hard for anyone to help you that way.
Have you configured your locales correctly ? Maybe this will help you: http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Locale
