Flightgear not able to create requested visual.

Hi!
I found this post http://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=68626 and posted in it. But since it's topic was set to [solved] I figured I might start a new one for this matter.

the thing is, that I can't start flightgear, as it complaints about not being able to create visual.
I've tried using arch packages, aswell as rebuilding flightgear from source using all dependencies as packages.

Any hints?

./fgfs
Xlib: extension "Generic Event Extension" missing on display ":0.0".
Xlib: extension "Generic Event Extension" missing on display ":0.0".
Error: Not able to create requested visual.
Xlib: extension "Generic Event Extension" missing on display ":0.0".
Xlib: extension "Generic Event Extension" missing on display ":0.0".
Error: Not able to create requested visual.
Segmentation fault

I will make a bug report on the packages aswell, but want a solution in the meantime (:

Re: Flightgear not able to create requested visual.

Alright, I think I found a solution, but not what was wrong (:

(for another reason) I tried out awesome wm, which seems to be a nice wm. And for some reason I figured I'd try out flightgear in this wm instead, which works fine!

So.. for others that may have the same problem - try another wm/dm!
(Myself, I switched from IceWM to awesome)
