lid button freeze with new Xorg

Hi,
today I upgraded to the new xorg package and (with help from some of you) installed the intel-legacy driver since I have a Intel 855GM chipset.

Now I have the following problem: if I press the lid button the screen goes black (but the pointer is still visible) and the system freezes, without any possibility to interact with it.

I checked that with the vesa driver there are no problems and the same was true with the old intel driver.

I don't know what to do. For the moment I'm disabling the lid button with the following command

echo 1 > /proc/acpi/video/C047/DOS

or I may just go back to vesa until I solve the issue.

Any ideas?

Re: lid button freeze with new Xorg

Seems that nobody has the lid problem. Where can I post this bug, so a developer may notice it?
