Odd GTK problems

Ok, I am trying to get gtk themes and transparancy working right but I keep getting the following errors:

(lxappearance:5357): Gtk-WARNING **: Unable to locate theme engine in module_path: "smooth",

This happens with lots of diffrent engines, but not all of them, eg clearlooks works fine!

tint2 : pixmap background detection failed

I have installed everything I can think of, not quite sure what else to look at!

[scott@lbn /]$ pacman -Q | grep gtk
gtk 1.2.10-8
gtk-engines 2.18.0-1
gtk-smooth-engine 0.6.0.1-3
gtk-theme-switch 1.0.1-2
gtk1-engines 0.12-2
gtk2 2.16.1-1
gtk2-themes-collection 0.2.0-2

Any ideas?

Re: Odd GTK problems

info:
tint's error message is when tint2 can't detect your background image.
(or perhaps, your theme don't use background image)

Re: Odd GTK problems

Like thil77 said, you may want to use something to set your background. I use feh in Openbox, but I could as easily use the built in function in PCmanFM. (At least I think it is there, I know it has icon creating power)

Edit: Another part of it is that your lxappearance is looking in the local directory. It may be as simple as it is not looking in the /usr/share/whatever directory...  Though that would be odd, as I know mine does.
