Hi, ever since I did a sudo pacman -Syu today, scim/anthy stopped working as an input method in gnome apps such as pidgin, but still works in firefox and mousepad.
I use xmonad so everything is nice and simple, and my xinitrc has
export GTK_IM_MODULE=scim
export XMODIFIERS=@im=SCIM
export QT_IM_MODULE=scim
scim -d
And my .zshrc has
export LC_CTYPE=ja_JP.UTF-8
export LC_COLLATE=ja_JP.UTF-8
export LANG=ja_JP.UTF-8
export XMODIFIERS=@im=SCIM
I speak fluent japanese, having my computer in japanese is no problem.
What should I change to make scim work properly again?

I can not reproduce this. scim works flawlessly in all apps (don't use KDE, so can't test those). I use the same settings, but export LANG=ja_JA.UTF-8 in my .xinitrc as well, but that should be irrelevant. My WM is Awesome.
What version of scim are you using? Can you check your /var/log/pacman.log for which packages you updated?
