Hello to everyone!
I am new in the Archlinux and unfortunately my first post here related to a problem.
I installed the Arch (i686 base instalation) and then I installed xorg, gnome and gnome-extra (if I am not mistaken with the exact name). On the next day trying to do: pacman -Syu the following error appeared:
error: failed to update core (unexpected error)
error: failed to update extra (unexpected error)
error: failed to update community (unexpected error)
error: failed to sinchronize any databases
I tried this under VMWare, Virtualbox and outside of the virtual machines. The result was the same.
I want to excuse myself if topic like this exists but I made a search and I didn't find anything similar to my problem.
Thank you in advance and I appreciate any responce.

just choose a proper mirror from /etc/pacman.d/mirrorlist. move first the mirror that is near you and then pacman -Syy to refresh the database.
also you can visit this link http://users.archlinux.de/~gerbra/mirrorcheck.html and see what mirror is up to date.

Give what you have. To someone, it may be better than you dare to think.
