xbmc and scripts

I sucessfully installed xbmc (xbox media center) and ran it, however there are no scripts in the scripts folder, I tried downloading some from http://www.xbmczone.com/ and dont know what to do, as I have no idea where to run it from or anything.

HELP?

Check out the scripts section of the XBMC wiki here http://xbmc.org/wiki/?title=Scripts.
Parts 2.1 and 2.2 are especially helpful as they more or less walk you through the motions.
