I was creating a package for my custom repo. I did gensync. However, when I try to install with pacman, it says that the package is corrupted. However, the package will work if I install it manually with pacman.
I forgot something.
I can use other packages in my local repo, just not that one.
well a quoted error msg would help. Are you sure that your database archive was created properly? did you add the local repo with the prper path in your pacman.conf.
it sounds like something is not right with your package, how you are creating your db or something but error messages will help determine the issue.
(btw did you resync after creating the and adding your local package repo)
I am not your friend
make sure that an older copy of the same file is not sitting in /var/cache/pacman/pkg.
pacman will always try to use that one first if it is the same version number.
the checksum will reject the older file.
i run into this alot when i'm experimenting with my own PKGBUILD's
