in irssi:

/script load rotator.pl
/statusbar window add -after more -alignment right rotator
/set rotator_chars A Ar Arc Arch Archl Archli Archlin Archlinu Archlinux
/set rotator_speed 500 #these are milliseconds, adapt as you like
