Trac, Subversion, and Python

I'm having lots of fun trying to get the Trac package in Community to work because it doesn't seem to like the python bindings to subversion, which seem to be made for an older version of Python. Trac reports that, when it tries to synchronize with the SVN repository, that it "Can't configure SQLite" or that "Atomic initialization failed". PySQLite is installed, and that may be the problem. I'm still trying to figure out because there's very little error information. Trac is supposed to give administrators a backtrace of any exceptions that occur, and this seems to be an exception.

Is anyone running Trac successfully? What versions of Python, PySQLite, Subversion, and Trac are you using?
Is anyone running a Python application that uses the SVN bindings successfully?
