I thought all I did before was going into /usr/abs/gnome and type something like:
pacman -S *
and it would install everything. Wouldn't work this time, kept saying something like.. Line 5 of so and so is invalid.

if you installed via cd upgrade pacman first then :
cd /usr/abs/gnome
pacman -S `/bin/ls`

pacman -S ./*
