Last week I upgraded to Xorg 7.6 and now I have the same problem you have with irssi with the last console line, which happens to be the screen caption. It's mostly random, sometimes works, sometimes doesn't and only dissapear resizing yeahconsole. Really annoying ...
FWIW, I'm using Debian and Openbox, so it's not an archlinux issue

I can confirm this with yeahconsole+urxvt+screen, xorg-server 1.6 and xf86-video-ati.
The real problem is that I'm trying to test this and can't reproduce everytime, but it can happen just with starting mplayer (so that it reaches the last line), hiding and retracting yeahconsole and then quitting mplayer.
only dissapear resizing yeahconsole.
Yes, resizing and switching to another screen tab helps, retracting and ctrl+l doesn't.

But then, from who is the problem... urxvt? irssi? screen? or xorg?

Same bug happens with xterm, so urxvt is not the problem. Also, any program that scrolls will do; less, mplayer, irssi... so it looks like yeahconsole/screen/xorg problem.
I'm mostly using Openbox, but have yet to see this bug with Compiz. Maybe it has to do with how virtual desktops are handled differently (or are they?) in those two.

I have the same problem. I am using yeahconsole + screen + irssi with xorg-server 1.6.1-1. I have a NVIDIA 8400 GS. With stjerm, for example, there is no problem, but I don't want to change yeahconsole
Heeeeeey cat!!!

I read this thread http://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=71985 andit seems the problem happens when the transparency is enabled. So aqamar, you have
yeahconsole*inheritPixmap: true
Try disabling that.
I can use yeahconsole again =]
EDIT: Hmm it seems the problem is here again...
