alsa fails with hda intel

i upgraded the kernel to 2.6.29 and then there was no sound anyone know how to fix this?

maybe run alsamixer, verify sounds are unmuted and volume set, then see if ur user is still in audio group

ya everything was fine before i upgraded the kernel, also i found the bug

how would i downgrade my alsa driver to 1.0.18a?
