No flash sound... [SOLVED]

Anyone else experiencing a loss of sound in Flash ?
Kernel 2.6.29. System sounds are fine. Tried Opera and Firefox - same
result. Re-installed flashplugin to no avail.

Sorry about the staccato nature of the post - I've a patient waiting...

Flash defaults to OSS so maybe that's the problem

Yup, you hit it on the head
Installing OSS solved it... now to discover why ALSA failed...
