[Solved] Wireless Config Help - Fresh Arch64 Install

I've just reinstalled Arch64 after another distro hopping week.
But now that im back im running into an issue, after installing and rebooting (Following the beginners guide to the letter) i can't ping any websites
During the install i selected the Base/Base-Dev packages and the rt-drivers that corrospond to the wireless card im using, exactly the same as the last time i installed.
However on reboot i find that i can't ping any websites after:

iwconfig
ifconfig wlan0 up
iwconfig wlan0 essid "Matrix" key xx
dhcpcd wlan0
ping -c 3 www.google.com

I get the error unknown host.
dhcpcd succesfully leases, the wep key is fine and all the right drivers are installed so why am i still getting this error?
/etc/rc.conf has the right hostname, and this is reflected in /etc/hosts
Any ideas?

edit: rc.conf had a line commented req'd for wlan0 to run
