Re: gnome-power-manager fails to lauch (XFCE)

Happens to me too with openbox, I have d-bus running of course.
Seems like the new version is really buggy, I have downgraded for the moment because I don't have time to fiddle with it now....

The day Microsoft makes a product that doesn't suck, is the day they make a vacuum cleaner.

But if they tell you that I've lost my mind, maybe it's not gone just a little hard to find...

Does anybody has the same problem?...

running from console :

I'm getting the same error. I'm running XFCE. Have downgraded it for the moment.

Re: gnome-power-manager fails to lauch (XFCE)

Hi guys

Try and install xfce-goodies, then reboot and see if it helps - I hope it does...

Re: gnome-power-manager fails to lauch (XFCE)

I gave up and move to xfce4-power-manager.  It has really improved since I last tried it.

Re: gnome-power-manager fails to lauch (XFCE)

I add 'dbus-launch' before nautilus and empathy when I need to run them . I thought that this is normal with gnome apps outside gnome sessions .

Re: gnome-power-manager fails to lauch (XFCE)

JGC released new version (2.26.1-2) which fixes this. Currently it's only in 64-bit repo, but the same PKGBUILD and patch work for i686.
Thank you JGC.
