Help my UT based games are crashing !

system specs

ATI 9800 3.12 ati linux drivers
P4 1.8 @ 2.4
1 gig ram

kernel 2.6.8.1

My ut based games keep crashing
AA and UT2K4 both of which have the most recent patch's

I don't understand. Are they crashing before they start? or do they mysteriously exit after some time playing? I had that happen to me with UT2004. I did a google search, and found a patched binary that fixed the problem.

heh and i thought my cpu was overheating cuz i didn't connect my quiet zalman heatsink/fan properly.

I get a X crash or ut2004 crash whenever I try to run ut2004 with the newest X.org. I've googled a bit and couldn't find an answer sad But I think it's X.org.
