Gnome -- Nautilus image Thumbnails

Hi,

I'am using gnome 2.26 and nautilus does not create thumbnails for image files. The funny thing is when I open some files with the image viewer and refresh the folder then i got thumbnails for the files that were open. Is there a way to get thumbnails for all images? If I open a folder with gthumb I get thumbnails but I need them in nautilus.
