Hello,

I've no idea what went wrong there...

I upgraded the kernel to the latest available (madwifi too) and it went ok. I rebooted twice and not a single problem.

Then I installed VirtualBox, created a virtual machine/harddrive, removed it, created a new one and then rebooted to load all the modules properly etc.

When I reboot, I get an error straight away about the clock, then at the following lines all the modules can't be found. One of the filesystem does not get mounted for an ext2 error. I have several other errors and then entranced get started but the display get all scrambled.

I ctrl + alt + F1 to open a root terminal.
I have almost no module loading (checked by lsmod) and have no wifi access.
btw, the partition that does not get mounted is sda1 on /boot but if I boot on the LiveCD I can mount this partition without problem.

I am stuck and have ni idea on what to try or what to check, etc...

Any idea will be more than welcome

ok, the problem seems to be coming from kernel or madwifi.

I removed madwifi, then reinstalled the all kernel using the package available in my cache. Booted again using the livecd, replace the /boot files with the newly re-compile kernel, rebooted and all is working fine... I really don't understand what went wrong

this just happen to me after and update.
my usb modules will not load.
so keyboard and mouse fail.
hardware clock cant not be found
dhcpcd fails cause e1000e will not load.

arch linux 64bit.
