XFCE workspace switcher color

how is it possible to change the color of the workspace switcher in XFCE?
i'm thinking of the current active workspace selection
i know it changes with each gtk theme but where exactly?

the theme file is located in /usr/share/themes/<theme>/gtk-2.0/gtkrc
