Hi!
Can't figure that one out, as I don't know what to search for:
How do I get english output / build logs from makepkg ? Is there a config file for that, do I have to temporarily change the locale (how?) of a terminal or what?

Try
$ LOCALE=C makepkg

For some reason B's suggestion didn't work for me, I needed
LC_ALL=C makepkg

Thanks!
edit2: Jupp, i stumbled upon LC_ALL too (thanks to google[LOCALE=C]) and it seems to be the one I was looking for so far.
(edit( me to slow: I guess that one is exactly what I asked for (and it even helped me find what I actually wanted but didn't manage to ask probably quite quickly. That one - I guess - is "LC_ALL=C makepkg"; not sure yet, but now I'll be able to figure that out.)... and confusing myself with those brackets.)

You probably only need LANG=C (or any other english locale) makepkg

Sorry, didn't want to give the wrong info - I didn't try it myself, I thought it was like that. Seldomly use it, but I know it's there .
