new install not detecting sound card

My system is not detecting my sound card after a fresh install although alsa was working OK during installation.

I had the same happen with a Sidux install and this was fixed by a download and re-install of phonon but something else is wrong here.

Here is the lspci. Not sure what else I should post to help.

My other Arch install (kernel 2.26.28) is ok. The problem seems to be with 2.26.29.

shows your soundcard...

Did you run alsaconf just to be sure?

Re: new install not detecting sound card

Yes I had done that.
This from alsaconf...

No supported PnP or PCI card found
Would you like to probe legacy ISA sound cards/chips?

I have also re-installed alsa-lib, alsa-utils, phonon and everything connected with xine that I could find.

Should I be getting into the kernel? If so I'll need a little help.

Re: new install not detecting sound card

Have you updated the kernel, but not rebooted yet?

Re: new install not detecting sound card

Well I guess that's it. Two unusable installs...too bad for me.
