mpd not updating

I've been using mpd for a while and I like it, but as of today it isn't rebuilding my library, it freezes when I try, always at the same song and up until today it added that song just fine.

I've tried mpd --create-db and just updating it in ncmpc both freeze.

If it matters, I use an external hdd and my music collection is about 100gigs

If it locks up on that specific song, isn't there a problem with the tags maybe that causes MPD to break on it?

There shouldn't be, I haven't changed any of the tags and it has worked fine for months.
