Hi folks,
I just moved from Gentoo to ArchLinux,
And so far I just love the experience :-)
Since I did setup carefully my new system,
I had to work a little bit on my DWM config once more,
This time I have too much screen : 3840 x 1080
it's a dual wide screen 1920x1080, so I have almost 4 times width than hight.
I made a sweet DWM patch IMO,
- Smart layout per master (with 3 windows per master) 50%:
+++++++++++++++++++++ +++++++++++++++++++++
+ + + + + +
+ + + + + +
+ + + + + +
+ + + + + +
+ +++++++++++ +++++++++++++++++++++
+ + + + + +
+ + + + + +
+ + + + + +
+ + + + + +
+++++++++++++++++++++ +++++++++++++++++++++
- You can change number of master, and setup workspace with number of master per tagmask
- You can preconfigure tagmask to layout, nmaster.
- Every time you change it, it's recorded.
I need few tester, suggestion, i'm open to have anyone commiting on that git
Also since many people are using DWM on Arch (more than any other distro IMO),
I figure out we could end up with a nice dwm AUR package already patched,
But I need help with this integration, and tips on how to organise the file.
don't forget to edit PKGBUILD first (change the md5 of config.h)
Also the src directory is already there, so I don't really know how
to NOT download sources again:
git clone git://github.com/mod/dwm-mod.git
Regards,
MoD
