Keyboard/Mouse freezing at startup..

I first installed kdemod and hadnt changed the regional layout and all keys on my G15 were working. Then i installed g15daemon to get the lcd working and it worked. I then set the regional layout to "G15 extra keys via g15daemon" option and all my keys refused to work.

I read before about hotplugging and thought i should get rid of it as its of no use to me. I put "Autoadddevices" "False and "DontZap" "False " in my xorg.conf Serverflags section.

Now when KDM loads, my keyboard and mouse do not work. I tried plugging in another keyboard but that didint work. And i cant access my / partition from windows because its ext4.

Any tips on how i can get into the system to clear this up?

You can either boot from the install CD or edit your grub entry to get single user mode: http://www.cyberciti.biz/faq/grub-boot- … user-mode/

Re: Keyboard/Mouse freezing at startup..

Thanks that worked beautifully. It was the Autoadddevices freezing the system. Is that supposed to happen?
