Hello
Im trying to install Openbox - i install openbox with pacman ( used the Wiki to copy the files that need to be copyed )
my window manager is GDM and when the GDM start i chose Openbox as my WM but when i enter i get an error :
( from .xsession-errors ) :

i tried to add to the startup app Openbox like it said in the Wiki but it doesnt work
i also change in my .xinitrc file to exec openbox-session
i checked the forums but i didnt find a answer the same thing in the Wiki .
what can be the problem ? ( i already reinstall Openbox )

GDM tends to not read your xinitrc. It follows a different file (which I'm not familiar with). I would recommend trying SLIM. It's lightweight and it uses xinitrc.
Are you trying to run openbox with gnome? I think there might be a wiki article on that. If you are, see what
openbox --replace
does.

Hi thanks for the help
i install Slim and edit my .xinitrc -
exec openbox-session
and when i try to login i see a black backround and my mouse for a sec
and then i go back to the Slim login screen
Edit :
i want to run Openbox without Gnome but i also try run the Gnome\Openbox session like the Wiki said but i get the same problem
