Booting from USB: usb settle delay

Hi all. I'm currently booting arch linux i686 kernel 2.6.29 into several pc's at my university with a usb pen drive and I would like to speedup boot a little.

The most time consuming section is the "waiting for usb devices to settle". It always takes the same time ( 6 seconds I think) and there is no need for me to have such a high value, since it is a flash drive. 1sec it's enough. Is it possible to change it?

mkinitcpio.conf: hooks: base udev usb

Thanks big_smile
