No APM support in kernel

Hello,

I'm having a problem with my compaq armada m700 laptop. Appearntly APM does not work.
When trying to use APM (for example; apm -s to put my laptop to standby), I'm getting the message "No APM support in kernel". ACPI works fine tough.

Fixes? :-D I've searched the forums, APM support should be compiled in the stock 2.6-IDE kernel.

DMESG:

[glenn@evelien ~]$ dmesg | grep -i apm
apm: BIOS version 1.2 Flags 0x03 (Driver version 1.16ac)
apm: overridden by ACPI.
[glenn@evelien ~]$
