Trouble with flashnul creating usb image.

I have used arch before so I am not a total noob, but I completely at a lost using flashnul -p to determine my physical drive number, the only information it gives me are the logical drives. Now I know i can use other methods to find the proper device number, but I am just curious to why this is not working for me.
