rt2x00-rt61-fw + custom kernel, file conflicts?

Hey, I'm preparing for a new Arch install within the next couple of days - and when I do I plan on switching to a custom kernel.

I've already looked into how to make your kernel a package using ABS which makes it easier to install NVIDIA's drivers with Pacman.

My question is about the ralink firmware package for wireless cards. If you use a custom kernel, does that package conflict with the custom kernel at all?

No, firmware does not change with the kernel version.

I didn't think so, I've just never needed to use firmware globs before I started using this wireless PCI card.

Thanks for the reply. smile
