I don't understand why I can't mount my iPod - I used to be able to, and I've got no idea what system settings I might have changed... Normally usb devices get automounted at /media/usbdisk I've got my iPod (shuffle) in; its light is blinking, but when I (as root) enter "ls /media/usbdisk" I get
"ls: cannot open directory /media/usbstick/: No such file or directory"
Even worse, if I try (as root) to create a new directory at /media, with "cd /media; mkdir iPod" I get:
"mkdir: cannot create directory `iPod': No such file or directory"
What's going on here, and how can I fix it?
Thanks,
