You have to be careful with the 8400GS because there are two versions. The old one is a G86 core and has core clock 450MHz. The new one (G98) has core 567MHz.

G98 has complete support, G86 only partial. 256MB VRAM will also be limiting the resolution you can accelerate, or it may be choppy.

The Asus is what most people go for. Notice it has the highest memory clock. The Biostar has HDMI, and looks low profile, but AFAICT doesn't have a short endplate. It also has slower clocks.

so, i have to be careful with the core clock, right?
i'm plan it to use it only to decode 720p content...mmm...i'm hesitating...
