Two problems after updating gnome

Hello,

I've just updated gnome to the newest version. By and large, everything went very well, but I  got two minor annoyances.

1) The root terminal is not working anymore. When I launch it, the password dialog comes up, I enter the password, click ok and the terminal wont start. No message no nothing.

2) This is just an annoyances. When I start totem movie player, each time a message pops up:

Couldn't load the '/usr/share/totem/properties.ui' interface. Error on line 406 char 19: Odd character '%', expected a '=' after attribute name 'nam' of element 'property'

I close it and the player works fine. How can i make this popup message disappear?

thanks,
jmak

Now that you mention it, I too have this issue. I normally just open a terminal, and run: su if I need root.
