SOLVED Eth0 not found or Invalid...

Hi there, i've searched all i can to find out why but nowhere seems to explain this!

I'm trying Arch for the first time today and i've done an FTP install using another laptop a modem (I use Mobile Broadband.. so used ICS on the other laptop) and the net connection for the "Live CD" booted up in seconds and downloaded the 125mb files for install very quickly and installed without a problem...

I reboot and get on the boot up "Eth0 is not found or Invalid", it's set up exactly as it was during the install and ifconfig just shows "lo".

None of the apps i downloaded in the FTP isntall are showing up either...

Any advice? Thanks very much!!

Nightmare!

Still struggling with this... Could it be cause of the FTP install? Should i just do a CD install since ETH0 is discovered on the CD but not the FTP install?

Clearly not, CD install doesn't work either...

Or, works perfectly from the live CD but as soon as i take it out, i get SIOCADDRT (spelling? Not got the machine here) errors and saying Eth0 is invalid or can't be found...

Was a grub problem.
