[SOLVED]ALSA is having problems

Hello,
I did a fresh install of Arch on my Lenovo R61. Things are working smoothly. However the sound is not working properly. It seems distorted. The volume is only at 80%.
Appreciate any help or suggestions on this.

Cheers,

Re: [SOLVED]ALSA is having problems

There is a solution for ALSA sound quality problem.
According to ALSA Arch Wiki:

"Poor Sound Quality?
If you experience poor sound quality, try setting the PCM volume (in alsamixer) to a level such that gain is 0."

This worked for me.

Please, read the wiki and previous forum posts - you can search for relevant terms - *before* you post.
Could you add [SOLVED] to the topic?

Re: [SOLVED]ALSA is having problems

Karol,
Thanks for your feedback. I tried to find a solution in previous posts but got no luck with that. However I admit that I could have read the Wiki thoroughly before posting the question (my bad). I will be more careful with the next question smile
