building a server... alternate tty's?

In a nut shell, I know that the server I am designing will be run mostly in terminal with an SSH connection for over the local network connection/control. The server is going to be a torrent(rtorrent)/basic web(LAMP)/printer server(Cups).

What I want to know is if there is a compelling reason to change the tty. My laptop uses fbgetty for framebuffering a movie, and other fun stuff without having to fire up a full blown X session. I do not think I would need framebuffering from the server...?  I do not really know enough about the tty options for a straight console based machine. At least I have learned the rudimentary pieces of screen and dvtm!

I keep getting distracted from my webserver project...

huh? oooh...  shiny!

If you just use agetty it should be fine, if its an ssh server then you wont need a framebuffer

I had that feeling.

I was sort of thinking about the mingetty, since the one in the AUR supports autologin. Does it support autorunning programs upon login? That could be useful...
