Hello everyone. I have been using LXDE for a while now. The problem is, I have a very customized default openbox rc.xml.
When I added some of the functionality to ~/.config/openbox/lxde-rc.xml, I have had some very annoying problems
1) Run dialog (Ctrl-Esc/Win-R) keybinding causes windows to blink repeatedly and move down the screen, rendering X completely frozen/unusable
2) Same thing for LXTask
3)Seems like any LXDE program will do this when I launch it via keyboard command.
I am using the original commands from the default lxde-rc.xml too! What could the problem be?

Try getting rid of the network manager (I think thats what its called). There was a thread recently about this issue too on the forums but I don't recall where, so you may need to search for it.

I don't use any network manager. What do you refer to? The problem is the flashing/moving windows and the unresponsive X11. It's as if the commands crash something.

I believe he means the network-manager plugin for lxpanel--in other words, try compiling it w/o it.

oh ok I will try and post back my result. however I searched for the original post and do not see any kind of symptom like mine or an original openbox configuration for the DE.

Eff it. I am just using Compiz with LXDE now (which has its own problems). Thanks anyhow.
