Missing ACPI driver

I bought an hdtv capture card: Fusion HDTV7 RT Gold, for which the drivers already exist in the kernel, and the small firmware file is available for placement in /lib/firmware. No problem -- put the card in, started xine and got a brilliant hdtv picture. The sensitivity of this card is remarkable, since I am in a difficult reception area. But trying to fine tune the antenna led to difficulties neither femon or atscap worked any longer. The following from dmesg suggests that I have an ACPI driver conflict, and that a driver is missing:
