Does anyone know how to get the battery applet working in tint2? I set up my tint2rc as per the wiki but I get errors syaing to correct my configuration file. There is a patch in the updates here but I don't know how to apply it. I am using the tint2 from AUR not the svn version.
Thank you.

If you look at the patch it seems to have been built against tint2 SVN revision 72. Maybe you could try to pull in that revision and patch it - I've been running SVN most of the time and it was still stable.

tint2 from AUR doesn't have the battery option.
it's in svn since last week.

o/ Thil
Still loving what you do with tint2 .
You should put a link to it in your sig (unless you don't like sigs of course ).

Thanks.
Yes the svn version does have the battery support. Unfortunately I have the same issue as Issue 88. Which is that there is a path error to the battery information. Instead of "/sys/class/power_supply/BAT0/energy_now" it needs to be "/sys/class/power_supply/BAT0/charge_now"; etc. Could some help me how to us the patch in the link above. I'm guessing I need to edit "battery.c" before it is compiled but not sure how to do this. ABS? - I've never done this before.

Thanks. I'll follow the updates on your google code page. Tint2 is great by the way.

Anyone know how to get BAT1 to show up instead of BAT0?

I think this was fixed in May:
http://code.google.com/p/tint2/issues/d … n=1&q=BAT1 but that was for the svn (at that time) version.
You may have to install tint2-svn from AUR. It was working for me with the SVN version before my laptop died.
Edit:
version 0.8 was released 4 days ago - these fixes should be included in this version. You probably don't need the svn version

Weird I'm in 0.8-1 and it's not working. I might try the svn version and report back.
